New transfer requirements to combat pension scams
INTRODUCTION
New transfer requirements have been implemented to combat pension scams. From 30 November, schemes need to consider whether a 'red flag' or an 'amber flag' is present while processing many transfer requests: a red flag will remove the statutory right to transfer; an amber flag will require members to take mandatory guidance before they can transfer.
