In this edition of Pension Clicks, we look at the Pensions Regulator’s response to its consultation on the future of trusteeship and governance and launch our 2020 DC Pension Survey with Chapter 1 of the survey report and the Chapter 1 podcast.
The future of trusteeship and governance
Introduction
The Pensions Regulator has published its response to last year’s consultation on the future of trusteeship and governance. It confirms plans to update its trustee knowledge and understanding code of practice and review the Trustee toolkit to make its expectations clearer and to drive up standards of trusteeship. Notably, there will be no requirement to have a professional trustee on every board, for the time being.
