Pension Schemes Act 2021
INTRODUCTION
The Pension Schemes Act received Royal Assent in February. This provides the legal framework for pensions dashboards, effective governance of climate change risks and CDC schemes. In addition, it sets out new criminal offences and new powers for the Pensions Regulator, together with provisions to support long-term objectives in DB scheme funding.

Aon in the press
This month, our DC member survey reveals a worsening retirement savings gap for UK employees, and we believe that Royal Assent for the Pension Schemes Bill opens the way for Collective DC schemes. Our cyber scorecard reveals a mixed state of cyber security among UK pension schemes and Aon is appointed to provide administration services to the General Motors UK Pension Schemes. We believe the outlook for future longevity in the UK has not necessarily worsened as a result of the pandemic.
