In these unprecedented times personal cyber security is more important than ever. For anyone with responsibility for a pension scheme the risks are even greater, as it is not just your own security at risk but that of the pension scheme members.
Aon is therefore delighted to be working with Cyber Griffin, a cyber initiative run by City of London Police, to offer a series of two, one hour long briefings, intended to explain ways in which you can defend yourself against the most common cyber attacks. These sessions are aimed at you protecting yourself, whether you are a trustee or have another connection to a pension scheme, and are just as relevant to your personal life as your professional life.
The first briefing discusses Social Engineering, Phishing and Malware is at 11am on Thursday 8 July. It’s designed to educate people on the different attack vectors and show them how they themselves can spot phishing attempts and secure their social media.
The second deals with secure connections, account security and Internet of Things and is at 11am on Thursday 22 July. It will discuss things such as VPNs, password managers and the important of securing your devices.
Both sessions are non-technical so is suitable for everyone, and the training is NCSC Accredited.
